We didn’t sleep very well as the air-conditioning unit was making strange noises, but it was still nice to wake up and not have to get on a bike! The hotel we had chosen provided breakfast and it was really good; pancakes, omelettes and copious amounts of tea. We took our time and read some books. We lazed around most of the morning, but when we were hungry again (which happened surprisingly quickly) we ventured out for lunch.
Lunch was great, in a restaurant called Veranda and then we lay on the beach (life is so hard!) and went swimming in the sea until it started to rain, so we headed back to the hotel. It was a pretty uneventful day, the most exciting event probably being when I started to feel ill and then violently threw up for a bit, which was nice (I’m never taking a chance on ice cubes again!).
