We are very close to Tioman island which is our heavenly destination. Having a goal allows us to not feel like lab rats running in a wheel.
We woke up at 7 am and we cycled to Gemuk, which was only 20 kms away. Here, we will get the ferry to take us to the pulau (Malaysian word for island).

Arriving at the jetty at 10 am, we were surprised to learn that it was possible to get on a boat at 10:30, with the bikes of course. The 3 hour boat trip cost £20. The seats were comfortable and the view from the windows was nice. Anyway we both dropped off. The only stressful moment was when landing at the second harbour. Katy's bike fixed on the bridge was used to absorb boat shocks like a rubber ring. Reminding myself that I have some Mediterranean blood, I immediately asked the crew for an explanation. After denying this fact, they allowed me to get on the bridge and they secured her bike at the next landing called ABC.

You can easily imagine that writing an entire paragraph about this not really stressful experience means that this day wasn't difficult at all... Once at the island, we just chilled out, rested, ate, read and swum. Tioman is a real paradise. We found a inexpensive chalet 20 metres from the beach at one side, and some prominent vegetation on the other. They were right to compare Tioman island to a Pacific one.
My mission of the day was to finish reading an English book given to me a long time ago by Jean-Charles. This mission was accomplished despite having the worst English dictionary ever, which I had bought in a Pekan bookshop. An example of a definition :
inconstant adj unable to control one's bladder and bowels; uncontrolled.
Nice feet !
